وفاق همسنگ agreement یا accord به معنای توافق است. هر توافق فی‌ذاته فاقدجهت است. ممکن است شدنی یا نشدنی، بد یا خوب، نیک یا بدفرجام باشد. از این رو وفاق بدون ذکر محتوای آن، ناروشن است. درنتیجه معلوم نیست برای وفاق چه باید یا می‌توان کرد. وفاق وسیله برای دستیابی یا نزدیکی به هدف یا اهداف است.
