سید حسین میررضی

پروفسور رابرت نیلی بلا (Robert Neelly Bellah) جامعه شناس آمریکایی و استاد بازنشسته دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، برکلی (University of California, Berkeley) ، از جامعه شناسان متخصص دین در آمریکا به شمار می رود که به مدت 30 سال به عنوان استاد جامعه شناسی در دانشگاه برکلی به فعالیت علمی پرداخت و در نهایت از همین دانشگاه بازنشسته شد.

او تحصیلات دانشگاهی خود را در دانشگاه هاروارد (University of Harvard) آغاز کرد و در سال 1950 مدرک لیسانس و در سال 1955 موفق به اخذ مدرک دکترا در رشته جامعه شناسی و زبان های خاور دور از همین دانشگاه گردید. وی از سال 1957 تدریس در دانشگاه هاروارد را شروع کرد و در سال 1967 برای تدریس در رشته جامعه شناسی به دانشگاه برکلی عزیمت نمود. وی در خلال سال های 1967 تا 1997 به عنوان استاد جامعه شناسی در این دانشگاه به تدریس و تالیف آثار علمی اشتغال داشت. بلا همچنین از سال 1974 مسئولیت ریاست مرکز مطالعات ژاپن و کره در دانشگاه برکلی را بر عهده دارد. پروفسور بلا کتاب ها و مقالات متعددی در زمینه های مختلف به ویژه در جامعه شناسی دین به رشته تحریر درآورده است. دو مقاله «دین مدنی در آمریکا» (Civil Religion in America) و «تحول مذهبی» (Religious Evolution) وی از مقالات پر نفوذش در حوزه جامعه شناسی دین محسوب می شود. در سال 1985 کتاب «عادت های قلب» (Habits of The Heart) وی جایزه کتاب لس آنجلس تایمز را به خود اختصاص داد. همچنین در سال 2000 موفق به دریافت جایزه مدال انسان های ملی (National Humanities) از دست رئیس جمهور وقت آمریکا بیل کلینتون گردید. رابرت بلا تا کنون مدارک افتخاری متعددی از دانشگاه های مختلفی در سراسر جهان دریافت کرده است. وی همجنین در موسسات بسیاری همچون انجمن جامعه شناسی آمریکا (ASA)، آکادمی آمریکایی دین، انجمن جامعه شناسی دین و بسیاری موسسات دیگر عضویت دارد و نیز تا کنون به ایراد سخنرانی های متعددی در حوزه جامعه شناسی دین در محیط های دانشگاهی مبادرت کرده است. این جامعه شناس متخصص دین در 23 فوریه سال 1927 در آمریکا متولد شده است. پاره ای از افتخارات و مسئولیت های علمی وی : همکاری تحقیقاتی با موسسه مطالعات اسلامی دانشگاه مک گیل/کانادا از سال 1955 تا 1957 ، همکاری تحقیقاتی با مرکز مطالعات خاور میانه دانشگاه هاروارد از سال 1957 تا 1958 ، به عنوان مدرس در گروه ارتباطات اجتماعی دانشگاه هاروارد از سال 1958 تا 1961 ، پروفسور جامعه شناسی و مطالعات منطقه ای دانشگاه هاروارد از سال 1961 تا 1966 ، عضو مرکز مطالعات پیشرفته در علوم رفتاری استانفورد کالیفرنیا از سال 1964 تا 1965 ، رئیس مرکز مطالعات ژاپن و کره در دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، برکلی از سال 1968 تا 1974 ، رئیس گروه جامعه شناسی دانشگاه برکلی کالیفرنیا از سال 1979 تا 1985 ، دریافت جایزه سوروکین (Sorokin) از سوی انجمن جامعه شناسی آمریکا(ASA) برای کتاب «پیمان شکسته شده» در سال 1976 ، دریافت جایزه کتاب لس آنجلس تایمز برای کتاب «عادت های قلب» در سال 1985 . آثار وی در حوزه دین: 1958 "The Place of Religion in Human Action," The Review of Religion, 22, 3-4, pp. 137-154. جایگاه دین در کنش انسانی "Religious Aspects of Modernization in Turkey and Japan," The American Journal of Sociology, 64, 1, pp. 1-5. ابعاد دینی مدرن شدن در ترکیه و ژاپن 1961 "Religious Tradition and Historical Change," Transactions of the Institute of Japanese Culture and Classics, No. 8, Kokugakuin University, Tokyo, pp. 303-311.
